Omnigel is a fungicide for the control of European Canker on pipfruit.

The Omnigel formulation in the form of a gel provides a medium to hold the active ingredients on the plant surface thereby enabling penetration of the bark and wood. It contains ingredients that inhibits the maturation of fungi by preventing spore formation. The fungicide acts curatively by inhibiting the creation of sterols in fungal cell walls. Other ingredients inhibit fungal and bacterial DNA/RNA synthesis.

Application

General:  Only apply post-harvest during leaf-fall or during dormancy.  Omnigel is rapidly adsorbed within one hour of application so rainfall following application is not critical.

For the treatment of European Canker Neonectria galligena on pipfruit: Canker treatment: Brush off flaking and loose bark with a wire brush or a sharp knife then paint cankered tissues liberally with undiluted Omnigel, including surrounding healthy bark. The product will be absorbed, so painting of large cankers can be repeated if necessary.
